From My Collection – Stills from The Mouthpiece

By Cliff Aliperti 1 Comment

Was just looking through some of my Warren William purchases from over the past few months and found a couple of original stills from The Mouthpiece (1932) that kind of go together.

William Janney, Sydney Fox, Warren William

In this still, captioned “M-75” we see Vince Day (Warren William), in his robe fresh off a hell of a bender that Hickey (Aline McMahon, not pictured) has woken him up from, come to the rescue of diminutive Celia (Sydney Fox) by consulting her boyfriend, Johnny (William Janney). Johnny is accused of stealing some money. Lawyer Day, feels Johnny might be a little nervous with Celia listening. He asks her to excuse herself to another room.

Next scene:

All right, Johnny, what’d you do with the money you liar!

The second still is marked “M-81”
